An interesting discussion with a very kind person,
[0.] claim I was found through LinkedIn
but (as always) never saying where/how
Look what he is doing after that:
[1.] Doesn’t go in my LinkedIn profile or webpage
(Who needs that right? :-))
so he cannot have read the personal statement.
[2.] Goes to another company and PAYS to get my non-public job email.
[3.] Subscribes me to a mailing list/stores me in the system more or less
[4.] Violates Article 14 of the GDPR – he practically has to inform me about the storage at the time point of the storage, or at the latest, the first time he contacts me, providing me the legal basis for all of this
[5.] … and now has to provide all those explanations to get the information he wants
instead of:
==> Just message me on LinkedIn which costs *no money*, is *much faster* and creates no fuzz
————————————————————————
Beyond that, I will never understand:
– How come I am the only person I know who has a profile created in those platforms and with non-public data? I’ve asked so many people.
If this person that he asks for exists, shouldn’t they have a LinkedIn account or a profile on those platforms ??? Why doesn’t he search there ???
– Why doesn’t he call ??? There is a public phone he can use.
Even without an NDA, my work ethic and integrity would not allow me
to say anything.
– If all this is legal, why not publish the whole discussion with company+name?
… waiting for the answer
