Not one, but 3 different EMails (!!!) added me without my permission in Google Groups. The EMails are forwarded to the authorities. Workshop invitations haven’t stopped; I asked the person who sent a new invitation where they got my EMail and there is no answer until today (27.04.2025). He is a very respectable researcher (no irony) and I’ve also connected with him in LinkedIn explaining the situation. I let that go.
On Friday morning, while on the tram on the way to work, I got an e-mail stating that I’ve supposedly installed software (!!!). I contacted the person whom I sadly have to block, following legal advice. He was very kind and understanding and we also connected on LinkedIn.
Everybody who contacted me and ghosted the conversation was blocked. Creating new profiles or sending new people asking questions and leaving is very indicative. I also blocked a certain person on LinkedIn on Friday; that may lead to further creations of fake profiles, but since the correlation between my professional posts and sending of these EMails is obvious, that’s the way I decide to proceed. Normally, I would have everything public, so that everyone can check, and because I take responsibility, but this is not appreciated.
2 phone calls from a hidden tel. number on the same day around 14:00 were not taken. I will not stop my work for anyone.
