The first review request came on 11. August 2024. Asking back “who provided you my private Email address”, the person that sent the Email replied: “Dear Anna, Thank you for your email. I’m sorry, but we can not disclose who suggested you as a reviewer for this submission. As part of the peer review process, we are provided with details of potential reviewers from those who wish to make suggestions. These suggestions can come from those who have declined to review and have suggested a colleague or someone they believe is an expert in the field. You were recommended as the declining reviewer was unavailable, and they suggested you as “the top expert”. I apologise for any inconvenience this invitation may have caused you. Please let me know if you would like us to block any future invites to this email. Kind regards.” My reply to this was “Dear …, thank you for your answer. There would be no problem if you were contacting me in my professional Email, but this is my private Email. I kindly ask you for the third time who gave you my private Email. Kind regards.” On the 13. August 2024 a reminder of an invitation to review came by another person of the same journal to which I asked one more time where did they find my private Email address.

The person that suggested me, found my Email on the presentation of the International Symposium on Forestry Mechanization (FORMEC #FORMEC) 2024. At the time that the Symposium was held, I had already resigned, therefore the only Email that I could post for networking purposes was my private Email. On the same day, I removed my private Email from the presentation and answered back: “thank you for answering my question. I corrected the publicly available presentation and now it does not include my private Email address. I kindly inform you – and perhaps implicitly the person that suggested me as a reviewer – that I have resigned long ago from my position at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU #BOKU) and work as an AI [Prompt] Engineer. I guess that if someone found by chance my research work online, they could also see in my other official profiles that are listed in this presentation (LinkedIn) that I am no longer working there, that I will never return and never write a review that cites the work that is done there again. Thank you for your patience.” From 14. August 2024, my private Email address is not online, and I thought that I will not be contacted again
